The Ganzhou-Longyan Double-track Railway is now undergoing construction and is expected to have track-laying completed by the end of June. The railway will enter its adjusting phase in September and be put into service in December. 

 

There are 3 regular trains travelling between Xiamen and Ganzhou right now, with their travel time taking 8-10 hours. After the opening of the Ganlong Double-track Railway, the travel time from Xiamen to Ganzhou is expected to be shortened to 2.5 hours. 

 

As an important part of the national railway network, the Ganlong Double-track Railway is also a major outward traffic line to Fujian Province and Jiangxi Province. The Ganlong Railway will depart from Xiamen, pass through Shanghang, Liancheng, Changting, Ruijin, Huichang, Yudu, and finally arrive in Ganzhou. 

 

Besides, a Xiamen-Longyan-Ganzhou-Ji’an bullet train line is expected to be put into service after the opening of the Ganlong Double-track Railway, which will drastically shorten the travel time for the over 100,000 Ji’an migrant workers in Xiamen.
